The PMP exam contains 180 questions out of which 5 are pretest questions whose results are not added to your final score. When submitting an application, you do not need to send any documentation. However, you will be required to send supporting documentation if your application is selected for a random audit.
You will be notified by PMI and details on how to make the payment will be part of the notification. You can pay by credit card, check, international debit card, wire transfer, or money order.
PMI offers a policy of refunds in the case of PMP exam enrollments. In case you're unable to take up the exam on the scheduled date, you would need to make a request to PMI (customercare[at]pmi[dot]org) at least 30 days before the expiry date of your exam eligibility. This is how PMI will reimburse your fee by deducting the additional $100 for processing.
You're allowed three opportunities to pass the exam within the one-year period of eligibility. In the event that you fail, you will have to wait one year after the last attempt before taking the exam once more, but you will be able to apply for additional PMI qualifications.
